The name.

Yaffo, יָפוֹ, is the Hebrew name of one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited port cities, taken from the same root as the Hebrew word for beautiful. The two ideas are connected. Yaffo has been beautiful that long because it kept what worked and added carefully on top.

יָפוֹ
Yaffo
from the Hebrew root for beautiful · also an ancient port

A little over a hundred years ago, the modern city of Tel Aviv began to grow up around old Jaffa. It did not replace the port. It joined it. Today the two cities are legally one, and the seam between the ancient and the modern is the most interesting part of the place. That seam is what we are named for.

We chose this name because the metaphor describes our whole way of working. A business is not a thing that should be torn down to make room for AI. A business is the old city. AI is the new city. The job is to build the connection between them, with care, so that what was already working lasts into the world that is coming.

Who runs Yaffo.

One operator who has shipped product at revenue scale, and one analyst who reads businesses by their numbers. Two cofounders because every engagement needs both. We do not subcontract this work. The names on the contract are the people who do it. Both of us, on every call, every deliverable, from start to close.

Adin spent five years before Yaffo as an operator inside a Bloomington startup called Wisdom Gaming. He cofounded the company's high school esports league and grew it to more than sixty schools across Minnesota before it was acquired in 2024. He then cofounded the company's technical services division, where he ran product delivery for Warner Bros. Discovery, Kingdom Studios, and a roster of clients who needed software shipped, not slide decks.

He is now finishing a math degree with a supply chain minor at the University of St. Thomas, which is to say he reads SEC filings and Census trade data for fun. Recent work includes a tool that maps the United States permanent magnet supply chain across five public government data sets, and a sales forecasting dashboard built on Meta's Prophet model that ingests Walmart store data and surfaces real demand shocks. Both shipped publicly. Both work.

On a Yaffo engagement, Adin is the cofounder you talk to about the build. He has run real product delivery in real client relationships at real revenue scale, and he writes the code that ships when an engagement calls for code that ships.

I love solving tricky problems, thinking big, and working with ambitious people. I work best in fast paced environments with high energy and real stakes.
Adin, in his own words

Jonah is a commercial real estate analyst at JDI Realty. His professional life is spent inside underwriting models, capital stacks, and the kind of due diligence that decides whether a deal is real or a story. He has built the muscle for reading a business by its numbers and finding where value is leaking out quietly, in bloated processes, misaligned costs, and work that takes three steps when it should take one.

On a Yaffo engagement, Jonah is the cofounder who maps how a business actually operates against how it could. He traces where time and money are going, identifies what is redundant or misallocated, and prices out what fixing it is actually worth. He is the reason every Yaffo recommendation lands with a cost, a timeline, and a measurable outcome attached. If Adin is the one who builds the thing, Jonah is the one who tells you whether it is worth building and exactly how much you are leaving on the table by not doing it sooner.

Most businesses are not broken. They are just running on habits that made sense three years ago. The work is finding where the drift happened and what it is costing you.
